Gingko biloba ‘Magyar’ (Magyar Ginkgo)
Gingko trees are admired for their brilliant, long lasting yellow fall foliage display and their unique leaf shape. They are popular trees in urban conditions where few trees are able to withstand the city environment. Not bothered by air pollution, heat, cold, insects or disease, they show why their species has survived for over 200 million years.
The Magyar Gingko is an upright, narrow pyramidal growing variety and is noted for growing faster than other Gingko selections. It is a male cultivar so will not have the unpleasant smelling fruit found on the female trees.
Growth Rate: Slow, to medium. Form: Upright, columnar. Height: 50′ Spread 25 – 30′. Exposure: Full sun to partial shade.
